I have an '01 olds aurora with the bose premium sound and onstar. I have an aftermarket receiver i want to install and i bought a scosche dcgm14b that integrates with the ribbon connector and a gmco2 to retain factory chimes, etc.

However the gm14b does not have the blue wires to match to the back of my new radio and no sound comes from my speakers although it powers on fine. i believe that i need to run a wire and splice it in to the factory amp to tell the amp to turn on. however, i can not find any schematics for this car. Where is the amp located, i have read that some cars have individual amps on each speaker. Does anyone have access to the wiring schematic?

I'm looking for any and all options other than replacing all the speakers and running new wires.

Any and all advice you have will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Mike

Typical....Bose does have amplifiers at the speakers. You need to look your install over, there is an error there somewhere.

I also had a tuff time finding info on the part # you posted.....I could be blind though. I went here.
