I've been debating on which to buy for about two weeks now and I could use some help.  The MTX's are about $20 more per sub but I've heard good things about their subs and only fair things about Kenwood's.  I'm assuming the MTX's are going to thump more but I'm just as concerned with the crispness and clarity.  Which pair would you go with and why??? If you could help me out soon I would really appreciate it!!! Thanks! (By the way, if you couldn't tell I'm basically a beginner with car audio, so if you could please respond with smaller words it would really help! posted_image )

I'd go with the MTX.  Kenwood is over rated.  I've heard that MTX is comparable to kicker, and if that is the case then it would be a great sub.

Personally I like the way the MTX hits over the Kenwood. The MTX can take more abuse. Pay the $20 more and go with the MTX

i've owned them both and i'd say mtx anyday. on a good amp the kenwoods sound like they're going to shake apart.
