I need a new high output alternator for a 1999 Buick Century. The stock alternator is a 100/105A Delco CS-130D. I found this potential replacement via google:
https://www.alternatorparts.com/Extreme%20Duty%20Dual%20Rectifier%20CS-144%20type.htm
The link points to a dual rectifier alternator that supposedly fits my car. There are explanations on how the dual rectifier works and everything, I found it interesting. Basically, I want to know if anyone has anything to say about this company, or if you think the dual rectifier is worth the high price? The company also makes high output versions of the stock model, an oversize version high output that fits the stock mounting, and this dual rectifier (which is the oversize version with extra rectifier) I am looking for a 170A alternator, so the choices from this company are as follows:
stock style: $189.95
oversized version: $219.95 (they say bigger size improves the reliability, but more importantly for me improves the power at idle rpm, though they don't say by how much)
dual rectifier oversize version: $309.95 (supposedly improves even further the reliability and power at idle, again don't know by how much)
Anybody know how much difference the more expensive versions make, whether it's worth the cost, or whether this company is any good in the first place? All suggestions welcome.

Here is a link to their products page, which is sorta of unorganized but does contain a lot of information and pictures

Go down to the General Motors section for the alternators I was talking about. CS-130D is my stock model, CS-144 is the oversize model, then there is the "EXTREME DUTY" dual rectifier version of the CS-144.

Quick start is An OEM based company I dont know if I would really buy anything from them, espically if I was looking to upgrade anyways.
Considering you already have or can fit a CS-144 case that opens you up to all the aftermarket companys largest alternators.
Most reliable and most efficent alternators espically at idle would have to be
High Output technologys
irragi alternators
