no tail lights

so after i installed my cd deck in my sl2 the tail lights went out and som interior lights liek the dash lights would that have anything to do with the cd deck. i checked all the fuses

In most cases like this you do have blown a fuse you just haven't found it yet.  Let me guess: you cut off the factory wiring harness adapter and you didn't disconnect the battery first?

i had the correct wire harness and i beleve i unhooked the battery.

The harness you got probably had a few different red wires on it (mine did). You have to verify you hook up the right one, since it varies from Saturn to Saturn. If not, you will have problems.
