Has anyone tracked down the actuall antenna wire on a 1995 or similar blazer?

For the longest time now I have had real bad reception and I think the wire has broken or shorted to ground some where.

Im thinking this weekend I might try to track it down and either replace or repair it.

Any tips at all are appreciated.

it runs down behind dash, through a grommmet on pass side floor (pull back carpet on pass side and its right there.

above is correct... on 99 and 01 anyway (all i tested)
