I've searched around and even called Crutchfield looking for the reverse wire location for my 2001 Pathfinder. I haven't found a definitive answer so I thought I'd ask and see if anyone that has actually done one of these knows where it is. I've read on here that it's a Lt Blue wire in the driver's kickpanel. Could someone let me know which connector and/or pin? Crutchfield told me that it's a Yellow wire in the 20-pin connector in the passenger kick-panel, but that doesn't seem to be correct. The system check shows that Reverse is on all the time with it connected to the yellow in the pass. connector.

Anyone out there know for sure or could give me a little more specific info? Thanks.

Sorry, should have done a bit more looking around before I posted the question. I found the FSM for the truck and took a look at the back-up lamp wiring diagram. For a manual trans the reverse light signal will be Yellow wire pin 11 on the 20-pin white connector in the pass. kick. For the auto trans it's Yellow wire pin 13 on the 24-pin white connector in the same place. Maybe that will help clear things up for anyone else doing an install in a Pathy.

Could you not have pulled it right from the shifter?

I was going to install a license plate camera in my 01 pathfinder, until I realized I couldn't run the wires into the passenger compartment nicely. But that's what I was planning on doing, just probing around at the shifter.
