right now i hav a small insignia amp powering two 12" power acoustik.

my question is, if i bridge the connection to power only one sub, will i get better sound?

Specs:
Amp:
Amplifier: 360W continuous power @ 4 ohms, bridged

Amplifier: 200W x 2 @ 2 ohms RMS

Amplifier: 120W x 2 @ 4 ohms RMS

Woofers:
# 1200 watts power handling
# 600 Watts RMS

You can't bridge that amp into a 2 ohm load, which is the only way to wire it into one sub. You already have it wired up the best way you can without a 2-ohm stable amp.

That depends on if his subs are 2 or 4 ohm. If he's running 2 4 ohm subs, he can bridge to one with no problem. This would actually give him better output as well so long as his sub can handle the power.

please post the specs of the subs and preferably the model numbers of both the subs and the amps. Then we can better assist you.
