I'm upgrading the OEM Bose system in my 06 Silverado with a JL Audio Cleansweep from the headunit to a JL 6-channel amp. replacing door speakers with 6.5" Polk componets. I'll let you know how it sounds in a couple of days.

upgrading factory bose system? what do you mean by that...the only thing that can really be upgraded in a bose system is the head unit, nothing else can really be replaced by conventional means. Sometimes you can use the existing wiring, but you must alter it considerably. Tell us what it is you are upgrading exactly.

Murano is a peice of work. The factory cd MUST be retained. DO NOT REMOVE IT. After that a complete rewire for new speakers and amplfiiers. Audio Control, JL Audio, MTX and other companies all make interface adaptors that allow you to add whatever you like to the factory cd player.
