A friend of mine has asked me to install an amp in his 02 Trailblazer. The easiest way I can think of is to splice off his rear door speakers to the high level input on the amp. I already have all the wires ready. I am just wondering iff this would be easier than to pull the stereo out to splice into them there. For the remote wire, I am gonna hook it to the battery with the power-wire, but with a fuse and a toggle switch to turn the amp on and off. Any help is appreciated! thanks

depends on if there is a Bose system in the truck.If not you should do a LOC behind the factory radio, jut because if later on a after market head unit is used, the RCA's would already be there.As for the remote power, use a DMM and at least tap a wire from the fuse box...if he wanted a toggle, then add it inline...that way it would be better if the deck was changed, and you would have to worry about the amp staying on after the car was off if he forgot to urn off the switch

What if it has Bose? What if I used a line-to-RCA convertor with adjustable gains for each side? What is LOC? Good point about the remote turn-on.

LOC = Line out converter which is exactly the same thing you are talking about.
