I did this super nice custom stereo system in this 89 mustang gt show car and after he dropped his car off to get lamberghini doors installed, he noticed that only his rear speakers were working. so he brings it back to me and to make a long story short two subs, 4 speakers, a big 5 channel and a head units RCA outputs all quit working at one time! Pretty much everything connected to his main amp fried?!?! Im guessing that when they welded on the car they may have jolted the cars electrical system or somthing, what do you think could have happened????

Are you saying that the amp, subs, speakers and rca outputs of the head unit are fried?..or just not working?I guess if all that is fried it is possible if they used a high voltage arc welder improperly but personally I have never seen this happen before. You would think that kind of voltage would have damaged alot more electronics in the car as well.

Maybe the welders were cranking and abusing the system but still I can't see how this would blow the preouts as well. Very odd but I have been in this business long enough to know that you see something everyday that makes you go "wth"?????
