My factory radio has a cd player built in to the deck and a tape player which is seperate.
There was an option on my truck to get a CD changer. I did not purchase the CD changer. There is a module I want to install that uses a connection to the cd changer cable. Does my truck have this cable or connection on the deck even though I didn't order the CD changer?

I believe there is a connection to it there... If you open up and look at the back of the radio, there should be a plug back there with either a cap in it or just an open harness plug hole. You module should plug into it. Now depending on your module, most have a bypass on it so you don't loose your tape player, but there are some that will not give you the t-harness for that.

are you trying to do an ipod connection or an aux in connection to your radio?

IPOD, I was looking at the peripheral electronics ipod2car module. I wasn't aware that there were any others available? If there are please clue me in. I would like to look at them. Thank you very much for your reply.

pac makes one that is an aux in, it gives you two 3.5 mm inputs for whatever you want to hook up. it hooks up through the xm port on the back of the deck, xm still works. the ipod2car plugs into the changer port on the back. all the wires for the ipod2car come in the box, you just gotta set the dip switches to the right setting for your truck. ive used both and havent had any problems with either one. just depends on what you want to do.

ipod2car site says that I will lose functionality of my CD player and Tape deck. Is that true? Is this only when I am using the ipod are period. When it says to disable the device, does this mean just unplug them or is more complicated than that. Also with the other 3.5mm module, it says the source must be playing at all times? My stereo does not have XM radio?
