I just got a Diamond D6 10d2, and I  want to build a box for it. I want to go ported and the manufacturer suggest a 1.25cuft with 2 (2.5" x 16") ports.

I model that box with WinIsd and the response has a big (6db) hump at around 35Hz with an f3 around 28Hz. The program suggest a ported box of 0.74cuft tuned at 27.6Hz with an f3 around 24Hz  and the response looks a lot better.

BassBox Pro suggested a ported box of .93cuft tuned at 25Hz with an f3 around 23Hz.

Does anyone have any suggestions for this woofer?  Which design should I go with?

I tried the suggested sealed box but didn't like the sound of it. It was punchy and accurate but it lacked the dept that I like.

Follow diamonds specs, We have 2 box's in that are built to diamonds specs and they are very impressive. Both are ported. You can also purchase a box built for diamond subs from these guys, yes they sound great. You have a very nice subwoofer, what are you powering it with if I may ask?

The programs most likely are giving you a maximally flat response...Also once you put the box in your vehicle the reponse is going to look nothing like what any of the programs say
