Do i need any access codes to upgrade the AVIC-N2 with new maps.

I bought a N2 on ebay without the map dvd, and I dont have any serial no or access codes?

The unit is currently functional, plays radio and mp3's, is it going to stop working when i upgrade?

Any help will be appreciated.

All you should need is to order a new nav disk and be good to go.
