2007 escape aftermarket head unit

my wife just purchased an 07 escape and it has an audiophile system in it currently. it has a sub with a factory amplifier. i was looking on the metra application guide and says that it is n/a for amp bypass. Does this mean that i dont have to bypass the factory amp? can i just purchase the wiring harness and installation kit and be good?

The metra application guide online does not even list the Escape..where did you find the info?

The safe assumption is that a bypass kit is not available..at least not as of yet from them. However this does not nessecarily mean that you don't have to bypass it..it might need to be bypassed manually by yourself or a pro installer if you don't have the experience.

If there is a harness that allows a deck swap by integrating to the factory amp see if you can get a part #..or link me to where you find any harnesses for that vehicle and I will make a reccomendation if you wish.
