Could someone please educate me on the basics of multiple battery wiring, isolation, use and types of isolators.  I am trying to learn my way around wiring golf carts with 6 volt batteries giving 32 volt power to main motor and 12 volt power to accessories (lights, etc.)  Any clarification for dummies would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. -Mike

Our fork trucks use multiple batteries wires series to achieve 48vdc.  They then use a regulator to step the 48vdc back down to 12vdc for two front lights, a rear light, and a driver fan.

I'm not sure if this will help you, but that's what I got!
