Looking for sound quality, primarily rock/classic rock/country music.

SOUNDSTREAM RFW-10 10" 2,000 WATT DUAL VOICE COIL

BRAND NEW 06S10L5-4 10" SOLO BARIC L5 900 WATT

Powered by either 1000w or 600w rms, haven't decided which amp to buy.
Thanks for the input.

depends on application and what results you are looking for...in your case it is sound quality.

I'd rather suggest the Soundstream subwoofer for sound quality...the L5 will pretty much win out in SPL

I beg to differ. I think that it is all about the box and how you tune the system. My bet is that I can tune in a square sub to deliver some darn good results. That said though, that much power handling and sq seldom go hand in hand. What is the balance of the system and what vehicle is it in?

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

It's going in a Suburban, 1000 watt rms amp for the subs with 100 watt rms components.

Oh yeah, the power rating for the Soundstream is actually 500w rms - 1000 peak.

I do believe it is all about the box...and I know YOU can build a box for that sub and tune it so it has some excellent results and sound quality...but do you think the OP can??

I was just suggesting the SS because it would be easier to get the sound quality he was asking about
