i tried hooking up another amp for my mids and highs today but when i turned my car on, it just completly shut off. so i just unhooked the amp and took it out.

but then i put my deck back in and it just stopped working. nothing will show up but i can still take my cd out and put it back in. how can i tell if my deck is blown or not

check fuses, use a DMM to verify power is gng to your unit, i would think that your 12v switched has a blown fuse.
