How close are you to Charlotte, NC? I know a place there that does a good job on repairs. I can get the info to you if you're interested.

What kind of amp (whats the value new) is it really worth adding another possible $150.00 to it?

Just consider the age of the amp, and the replacement cost. Example: I have an Xtant 3300c. In the day it was a 900.00 amp. It poped a couple of resistors. Xtant has a "flat rate" for the repair of the amp, 150.00. I purchased the amp as a dealer 6 years ago. (great price) So in my case.....it's absolutley worth repairing. Now if it was a 6 year old rockford..... paper weight.  You see, weight the cost of replacing it, versus the original cost, PLUS the repair.
