A newb in the area of car audio. although i have practicle skills i am unsure how to wire my subs to get the best possible solution.

subwoofers: two 4 ohm DVC subwoofers, 300watt RMS each, with a maximum output of 3000watt each.

amplifier: 2 channel, 1600watt RMS, 5000watt max, load of 4 ohms.

oh and one more thing, when bridged, the amp can only handle 4 ohms, however, stereo 2 ohms is achievable.

Always list the model #'s of your equipment. If what you have listed above for descriptions is accurate, you are going to be in the market for some better subs in rather short order. That is drastically overpowering the speakers which will result in a smelly horrible death to them. Here is the correct method to wire these speakers to this amp.

Option 2 (series/parallel) = 4 ohm load
Voice coils wired in series, speakers wired in parallel
Recommended Amplifier: Stable at 4, 2, or 1 ohm mono

thanks heaps. ive got one more question, should i bridge the amlpifier or just use one channel? cheers

This uses the bridged outputs of the amp.

um. on another topic, i bought a wiring kit, 4 gage and came with a 60A fuse. looking at the forums posted on this site it reccomends a 150A fuse.???
