Hi, I just had an amp and sub installed at my local BB out of laziness on my part. Well, the installer didn't run the main power wire direct to the battery, instead he ran it from the distro block above the dead pedal under the dash. I was wondering if this is a safe way of doing things, or should I run it to the battery? Any help would be appreciated!

What year....and what model? Im guessing it's a 67 notch back .....am I right? posted_image

Some of the new Vw's have a HUGE amp rated dist box...like 60 to 80 amps under the dash. Get down there and have a looksee....If I remember it states on the box the amp rating.
