I want to install a Pioneer DEH P4800MP CD/radio in an old Honda Civic (1990) which has a pair of 40W, 4-8 ohm, front speakers. Pioneer says not to connect the unit to speakers rated below 50W, 4-8 ohms, as they may overheat. Could someone please tell me if the the 10W difference in speaker rating is really likely to produce such an outcome?
