I have a friend who has a Crossfire mono amp. CFA390M. The amp's manual claims it puts out 390wrms @2Ohms, that's it. This amp was the biggest one Crossfire made that year. It has been rebuilt and according to the previous owner has been built-up a little. Has dual 25a fuses. 2Ohms minimal. 2Ohm on 2 KickerCompVR 12's. This sucker slams with no Big3 or anything, factory alt, cheapo bat, not the best wiring! Anyone had honors of using one of these any? What I want to know is how much power this thing really puts out. Crazy loud for only claiming 390wrms (@2Ohms)! Anyone?

That amp was kick butt. They always put out more than they claimed. They had one bad run of them but replaced the 9 bad ones that I had come it. Absolute great amp, highly recommend it.

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
Any idea of how much it's really pushing? I mean, I don't know what they could do to this particular amp to 'sup it up' a little. It's definitely not only pushing 390wrms. Any idea's anyone? thanks

I had a 390M years ago, bought it brand new. With no mods it was a decent amp. I had it on 2 Premier ALCC 12's in a ported box in a camaro. It was a fun setup.
I could be mitaken, but I think crossfire rates amplifiers at close to 12V (which I consider favorable). You'll will have higher voltage in the car with the alternator running. This will result in higher output.
Well, he hasn't done the Big3. He's got a cheapo battery with a factory (105a) alt. This setup makes hats bounce on your head and spin around. It's crazy considering it's not even getting adaquate power.
