I need some input on brands that are OK for free-air. I've never had any and a friend wants a pair for his car. Price don't really matter, they just need to perform good as a free-air sub.

see if you can find JL's old 12IB4 or go with one of their marine drivers.

Eclipse has one too ... at least, they used to

All of Elemental Designs Kv and Ov drivers can be mounted infinite baffle
