i am working on a 2000 chrysler sebring with the factory premium infinity sound system. the vehicle is a convertible too. i need a pinout of the infinity amp so that i can connecte the inputs from the deck to the outputs to the speakers and avoid having to run speaker wire to all four sorners of the car. does anybody have the wiring colors to match up or a diagram that i can print out and go by? thanks a bunch.

is there any good reason that i could not use a battery to try and pop the speakers from the amp's molex to figure out what wires are the amps outputs. then i can just use a continuity buzzer on my dmm to trace the deck wires to the input of the amp? then i would have the ins and the outs tracked down and would only have to worry about polarity, right?

make sure to use a small amount of voltage, dont go crazy and use alot of voltage as there is always a possibility of damage to the speakers when you do. where is the amp located on your vehicle? also does your deck have two plugs or one plug coming out of it?  write down what colors you have at your deck and look at the amp and compare, it'll give you an idea as which ones are signal in and which ones are outputs. then just speaker pop to find each speaker.

the factory amp is located under the passenger seat. the factory radio has two plugs in the back of it (excluding a chassis ground and the antenna) and the factory amp has two molex's in the back of it, but they are standard uncolored nylon, instead of black and gray like on the back of the radio. as far as voltage goes, i usually solder small lead wires onto a double a battery so i'm only popping with 1.5 volts (probably more power than a factory sound system, right? that was a joke, sorry, it probably confused my post's flow) anyway, if you have any advice for me beyond this, please let me know. thanks again.

does anybody know if the wires are the same color between the deck and the plugs on the amp, or is there a junction inbetween that would change the wire colors? thanks for the info.

Note that if you read the post it states that his car is a CONVERTIBLE.

Yes the wires from the radio to the amp are the same, from the amp to speakers are different colors.

Is up to the installer to test all wires with a DMM whenever possible.
