Amp-2 channel monoblock MTX 1501D

Speaker-Kicker 10" L5 DVC 2ohm

Can I wire one voice coil to the left channel of my amp, and teh other voice coil to the right channel since the amp is run in mono. If not , why, and what can I do?

Looks like you'd have to hook each vc of the speaker up in parallel to the amp. You'd be getting 750wrms @ 4Ohms. If the amp has 2 separate speaker connections, 1 vc to each. This would still yield 750wrms @ 4Ohms, aprox. 375wrms to each vc.

Your amp has ONE channel...there are NO left or right channels.

Wiring each coil + to + and - to - the amp will be seeing 1 ohm.

if you wire the sub in series then to the amp the load will be 4 ohms

doodie, I was thinking of something else at the time. Disregard what I said and apply what aznboi3644 said, unless the amp isn't 1Ohm stable. In that case you'd have to load it at 4Ohms (sigh). (Single)Dual 2Ohm woofers aren't for 1 channel amps unless they're 1Ohm stable.
