As the title shows, I can't turn the amp up all the way. The head unit is a Panasonic cq-c7203u, and the amp is an MA Audio HK4000D. The subs are single voice coil, believed to be 4 ohm. I have tried them in parallel and series, but the amp cuts out when you turn it up. Changing the equalizer from rock to vocal etc. changes the cut out point, also where the bass knob is changes the cut out point. Thew amp also makes a clicking sound when it cuts out. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Y'know, I read your post and I wondered if I could turn any of my amps all the way up. So I went out and cranked those babies all the way up and gosh! Now they suck!

Now I'm gonna hafta take them back to Rob and complain.

Set your gain properly. It is NOT a volume control.

Well from your name looks like you have an eclipse or something like it...and those alternators aren't big at all.

That amp you have can pull over 400 amps (rough guestimate)

Your amp is cutting out prolly due to super low voltage....if you want to have that amp and power it properly you'll need a really big HO alt..around 250-300 amp alternator and some batteries.

Like the others said...read the sticky. You clearly do not know how to set up an amp.
