I hate factory radio's.

Yesterday I did a satalite radio hardwire into a 1997 Sunfire.... should be an easy car, 20 mins tops, ran the antenna, popped the deck out, solder power and ground to the sat radio adapter, put deck back in................................................................................................................................................

Sat radio worked great but the stupid screen on the factory radio wont turn back on..... so had to give customer an aftermarket deck because he was so angry that he couldnt see his clock.....

Pontiac radios are known for this. The problem is a light bulb blowing and you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Yup, what you should do is take apart that deck and replace the bulb and get that aftermarket deck back from the customer.
