ok, first of I know my system is ghetto, and not the best... but I want to get the most sound possible out of it... Here's the Car setup and The System Info
Car: 88 Prelude (all stripped, carpet, back seat, spare, etc)
System:
HU: Kenwood KDC-123
Front Speakers: Sony XPLOD 5.25"
Rear Speakers: JVC 5.25" and Visonik 6x9's ( 6x9's On outside backdeck,5.25's on the Inside of back deck)
Sub: Visonik 10" Sub (In the gap where the rear seat used to be
Amp: Visonik 300W
How Can i get more bass out of this system, I'm broke so i have to work with what I have until I have some Money... where should I position the sub? should i put the speakers somewhere else? etc... any help is greatly appreciated!
1. Eliminate Visonik. Not shure how to make their stuff sound better at all. Sorry.
I think the Sony and Kenwood will be ok. But I would add an eq to the mix to help. Mabye something from "Audio Control".
Hope that helps out.

I would look at an eq at last component to a system. I find they are more for fine tuning an already solid system. Most current decks have more than enough equalization.
I agree though, that the gear you have is going to put limitations on your sound quality. A solid headunit followed by a "good" or "better" pair of components or even some high quality coaxials up front is an ideal starting point. Later you can upgrade the rears, but don't place so much emphasis on the rear. upon that a solid four channel amp will make a world of difference as compared to deck power.
As for your sub section, displacement and power will yield more bass. Power is cheaper than cone area, but another woofer makes an audible difference. Your single ten, and the level of quality will unfortunately leave most wanting more. As far as placing it or relocating it, you will have toexperiment with that.
I realize money doesn't grow on trees, so do it in phases.

yea thats what i plan on doing... I ship out to basic training in 3mths after I graduate HS so i'm leaving the system as is until i get back... here's my idea for the system when i get back
Blankpunt, Sony, or Alpine, Pioneer Deck (higher end one)
2 12" 1000's
1200W amp (not sure which yet)
Replace the XPLODs with some nicer ones (i want to go 6")
Swap the visonik 6x9's with some alpines
i'll play around with the sub a little bit and see what i can get out of it, i blew a fuse yesterday so i need to get another one....
