I currently have a w7 with a JL Audio 500/1 amp.. the guy i bought the car from might want to take the amp back, but i also have a kenwood kac-9102 amp (1700 watts peak mono 850W x 1 @ 2 ohms RMS) How much of a difference would it be if I installed the kenwood?

I have had nothing but poor experiences with those Kenwood amps. Your best bet is to hold on to that JL. It is a solid amp.

I had one but sold it...very tough amp and very powerful

match that sub with a nice big ported box and you'll be pounding with that 500/1

if the sub and amp came with the car you bought...than it is yours to keep
