I have a 1990 Toyota Camry, I just took out the stock factory stereo and bought a Pioneer stereo for it. MY question is how in the world do you install it, what wires specifically go to what wires that the old factory radio was hooked up to?

For example, on the new stereo I bought the yellow wire in it is for the battery, because it says so in the manual and the red wire is for the ACC(accesory) and black is for the ground, I tired connecting the yellow wire to the yellow/blue wire in the car to get some power to the stereo and the red wire to the gray wire to get the ignition or ACC to work on it, but nothing happens, I connected wire after wire but the stereo does not flip on.

Does anyone have any suggestions, or know where I can get a very accurate wiring diagram for the radio?

Thanks for any Help.

you need three wires for the unit to power on. 12v constant (yellow) 12 switched (red) and ground (black)

The wiring for your car is as follows and wire in parenthesis is pioneer wire.
Constant 12V+     Blue / YELLOW            (yellow)
Switched 12V+      Gray     (Red)
Ground      Brown          (black)
Illumination      Green
Dimmer      n/a
Antenna Trigger BLACK/ Red
Antenna      Driver's Pillar
Front Speakers      3 1/2" Dash
Left Front (+)      Pink           (white)
Left Front (-)      Purple          (White w black tracer)
Right Front (+) Light Green   (Gray)
Right Front (-) Blue           (Gray with black tracer)
Rear Speakers      5 1/4" Rear Deck
Left Rear (+)      Black          (green)
Left Rear (-)      Yellow        (Green with black tracer)
Right Rear (+)      Red   (Purple)
Right Rear (-)      White   (Purple w black tracer)

You can buy a vehicle specific plug at BestBuy, stereo shops, even Walmart that will plug into the factory harness. You just need to wire up the purchased harness/plug to your new radio. The purchased plug comes with a wiring guide, and your new radio came with a wiring guide. You just wire them together, without needing to know which wire is which in your car.

Then just plug it into the car.   That way the factory wiring stays intact and you can always swap the factory radio back in when you need to.a

The Illumination wire, the green one, connects to which to what wire on the new stereo?...I tried every wire, now, I connected all the Yellow, red and black wires to see if it would power on, but it did not,(maybe I must connect the Illumination and the speaker wires to actually see the stereo light up and hear it?) but I think something other is wrong here, and I already cut all the factort wires and stripped them, yeah, I know I thought too much adhead of time on that, shouldn't of though.

But i'll keep trying it...might aswell.

Thank you much though.

i would check your fuses, because if you arent getting power with those three wires hooked up, there is another issue.

Where might I find the fuses in the car?
