I have an '05 Nissan Altima that came stock with the Bose sound system. I went to install my aftermarket stereo, I matched everything up, turned it on and it came on fine...but no sound came out of the speakers, at all, not even static.

Here's a picture of the back of the stock stereo, the wiring harness I picked up only includes the plug ins for the 2 slots on the bottom left, so I have 2 clumbs of wires just hanging, but at the same time I used up pretty much all the wires that are on the back of my new deck other than the amp power wire.

Anyone with any idea?

i had the same problem with my '96 ford contour.  chances are you are going to need to pick up an amp bypass. your problem is your new head unit is not turning on your factory  bose amplifier.  the amp bybass is going to look like a normal wire harness with a plug on each end.  these ends will correspond with both plugs that connect to your factory amp.  your amp will probably be mounted in the trunk on the underside of your rear deck or behind the glove box.  simply unplug the wires from the factory amp and plug them into the amp bypass and your problem shoud be corrected

bass is meant to be felt, not heard
