Does anyone know the difference between automatic and semi-automatic aftermarket antennas?

I'm looking to get one (eBay), and I see Metra and other various universal automatic antenna's for about 20-25 before shipping. But there is a Havada MQ1 for much less, but it says it is semi-automatic.

Anyone know the difference? Thanks.

semi-automatic is just like your power windows -  you have to install a up/down switch and you hold it to go all up.  if you stop half way it stays half way up.  when you want to put it down you hit down and it goes down for as long as you hold the switch.

Automatic  -  there is a wire coming off the antenna that when it gets power it goes up and stops at the top.  you have to keep constant 12v on that wire to keep it up.  As soon as you cut power to this wire (turn of the car or the radio) the antenna goes down automaticly.  So no buttons to push, it all-automatic.
