First off hello and thanks if your reading this

ill start off saying ive never dealt in car audio but do know some stuff on studios.

I have a pair of

MM2104 polk/momo 10' subs
-Nominal Impedance      4 ohms
-Minimum Impedance      3.3 ohms
-Power Handling (continuous)      300 w

putting these into a 2006 ford focus and was thinking about buying

Profile AP2000
-320 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms (480 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms)

now i dont think the extra 20 watts rms will do much to mess up my speakers but i was advised to purchase a:

Alpine MRD-M605
-400 watts x 1 at 4 ohms (600 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms)

due to it would be better sound quality which is great and all but i dont think that amp would be a wise choice and now am thinking neither will be the Profile.

now my speakers are 4 ohms but could i bump them down to a 2ohm amp? thats seems wrong or and i the one in the wrong and that is doable

any help is great and i thank you again in advance

Meph

I looked up the specs and in my oppinion I think the alpine amp would work much better for you. The alpine will probably draw a lot less current than the profile amp but provide the same power. The profile amp seems to be cheaper, and has a better warranty... but thats just my opinion....
