Hey Peeps,
I need to know whats beeter to do for grounding. Right now i am putting in (4) 12inch mtx 6000's, (2) mtx 6500d mono blocks and a mtx 4202 for the components. I ordered a few blocks from efx for the power wires, but im not sure about the ground. I have a ) guage kit im running to the first dist. block then branching off to 4 guage to the mono blocks and the capacitors. The 4202 requires a chincey 10 guage wire, but thats going to come off the block as well. For the grounding should i use the 0 guage to the first block and go the same guage to the caps & amps same as im doing with the power? I want the install to be clean, and i've done this before but not with multiple amps. Oh and this stuff is going to be packed in the extended cab of my 99 sonoma. Any suggestions or comments will help me out, this is the only thing im stumbling on. Thanks
I would do the same with the ground as you did with the power. Keeps everything looking the same and all your grounds at one point. It will add a little length to them, but in a pickup it shouldn't be a problem because your power wire is shorter that usual.
