Ok, just got started on installing my new door speakers, back ones went fine but the front is driving me crazy! Apparently there is a factory crossover somewhere that I need to find and by-pass. I'm putting new components in the front doors and want to use the crossovers that came with them, but I need a full range supply instead of what is already there. (Nothing but bass on the woofer wires and all highs on the tweeter wires). Wiring is confusing me since the front door wires are the same as the back door wires and even the dash wires!! Tweeters are the only ones with different wires, but yet I can fade between front and back normally, where the confusion comes in. So, any suggestions other than running new wires? (I'm not even going to attempt to wire through these door molex's!) Thanks to anyone with some useful info! Tim

Is there a factory amp? If so the speakers may be crossed over at the amp and then your solution would be to bite the bullet and run new wires into the molex. The how to on this site is very well written and should help ease  you through these difficult times. If there is no amp then you could look on the inside part of the molex for the wire colors going into the doors and try to trace those to wherever it is crossed over, or just use that as a point to run your signal wire to.

if i would have read the whole thing i would have saw that you told me that there was an amp. I think the infinity system on the grand cherokee that I had 6 years or so ago had a seperate set of wires going to each speaker from the amp.

Yeah, after much confusion and frustrations, figured out that the speakers are crossovered within the factory amp, I assume anyways since I never found any crossovers. All door speakers will end up on a different amp anyways, I was just trying to get all my door speakers in and done, plus figure out all the wiring for this vehicle (the wiring diagram on here for this vehicle is either wrong or applies only to a standard stereo). I had originaly planned on running all new wires til I saw the location of the front molex and lack of access to it!! Plus the factory wires turned out to be good size wire anyways so all I have to do is tap into them, much easier solution. Thanks anyways!!

unplug the factory amp output wires and connect there.

That would the easiest of all solutions if I knew where to get a wiring harness that matches that plug.
