I'm installing a power cap. According to the directions I can not run the 12volts to the cap from a fused distro box. I would like to know can I run the 12 volts into the cap and then from the cap to the distro box?  I'm assuming this to be ok because I have 2 connection points on the cap  for 12volt and 2 for the ground. Several people on here said I could do this for the ground on the cap.

First install the cap as close to the amp as possible. You should go from the battery to the positive terminal on the cap then from the same to the amp. For neg. ground cap to good ground very close to cap then go to amp from cap like on the positive terminal.

this is what I'm saying. If I go from the cap to the amp with the ground and with the positive I will have to run new wires to power up my other equipment.

a cap can be used as power distribution...just add more wires to the positive terminal on the cap...the cap only needs one ground

I would ground each of the amps separately
