First off I dont know if this is in the right forum and if not im sorry however it is still related to car audio.

Anyways, I have recently had to scrap my old car and will not be in a position to purchase a new one for 3-4 months.  I just finished pulling out my audio system and would like to put it to use in my house for the time being if possible.  I would like to run the following:

2 * 12" MTX 9512-44 subwoofers  RMS 1000 watts

2 * MTX TA81001 Amplifiers - each at 1000 watts RMS

1 4 channel Clarion amp roughly 400 watts

4 Clarion 5 1/4" speakers

Clarion Head Unit - forget the model but relatively insignificant I would think.

I have 2 * 1 farad power caps from Stinger as well

Now I know it can be done since all the stores that sell these items do it...but what kind of equipment would I need to power all that from my house outlets.

Any help would be appriciated, thanks.

Michael

This isn't practical.  You'd have to purchase a 12v power supply and probably a car battery .. like a big deep cycle to sit between a power supply and a rack of amps like that ....or something similar.  Then you'd have to get a bunch of wiring and what-not.

You'd have to run close to $2000 worth of equipment.

Uhh.  You'd need two or three of the $558 model.  "PST-APS100"
