I own a deh-6700mp is it possible to use a MP3 player and control it with the unit it self I know the ipod can be used but other then a Ipod what else? And if only the ipods can be used can the shuffle be used as well? thanks

As far as I know, iPods are the only MP3 players that are setup to be controlled through any aftermarket radio. You could connect other MP3 players through AUX inputs, however you would have to access the MP3 player and make selections through the MP3 player itself.

According to the CD-IB100ii manual it only allows the original standard versions of the iPod, iPod Mini, and iPod Photo.
