ok i got 2 Dvc 4 ohms xtants and when i wire them for a 4 ohm app they work fine but when i try wiring them for a one ohm load only one of the subs works and the other one keeps tripping the amp....i tried it by itself and it still didnt work...why would it work being set up for 4 ohms but not 1? the other one works fine im so lost if someone could help me out thanks
Check to see if you have:
1. Exact same signal input to both subs.
2. Exact same resistance measurement across terminals of both subs.
I suspect you will find a lower resistance on that troublesome sub than the other one.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Probably because your amp cannot handle a one-ohm load. What amp?

im running a kicker zr240 i think thats what it is....says stable down to one ohm...it works fine for one of the subs but not the other like if i wire it by itself for 2 ohms it still wont work it only works at 4 ohms
That amp is only stable to one ohm stereo. not bridged. If you are attempting to run the 2 subs bridged it will cause serious damage to this amp

Yep. You can't get full power from that amp with those subs. If you had 2 2ohm dvc subs you could (1ohm each channel). Your only option, for most power output, is to run it 2ohm stereo.
