In Need of Major Help

To start of, I am almost completely illiterate when it comes to wiring major things. So here's my problem. I am doing a complete audio gut to my 05 Dodge Neon SXT. Every single wire is to be pulled and re-ran with higher quality wires. I also want to put some things on switches, so I can have more control of whether they're running or not.

The equipment that I have is as follows, and please don't ridicule me on the better choices I could have made, I know. Just trying maintain a certain budget, with a certain goal in mind :

2x Kicker Comp VR 12's DVC
2x Kicker Comp VR 10's DVC
2x Kicker KS 6x9's (3 way)
2x Kicker KS 3.5's
2x Kicker KS 6.5's (2 way)
1x Kicker KX3 Hype Crossover
1x Kicker KQ30 Equalizer
1x Power Acoustic TS1440-2 Amplifier (4 the 12's)
1x Power Acoustic TS1920-2 Amplifier (4 the 10's)
1X Power Acoustic TS620-4 Amplifier (4 the front speakers)
1x Pioneer DEH-P80MP Head Unit

I want to have two switches for my amps. One will kill the 10's, for frequency reasons, and the second will kill them both, for police reasons.

I have installed a few systems, but nothing as advanced as what I am wanting now. I need some help and suggestions on what other type of equipment I should get and how to wire all of this. I know how to wire the head unit and the sub's, which will be 2 in series. I want all of the wiring to be clean, no half ass stuff. Everything will be hidden. And no I am not trying to compete or anything. This is for my ole lady.

So what do ya say? Can someone help?

A diagram would be very helpful too. Like I said earlier, I am learning how to read electrical symbols and terminology.

Get rid of one of the pairs of subs. There is no need to run 2 pairs of 2 different sizes of subs. If you want to run 4 subs, run 4 12's or 4 10's, not 2 of each.

I have heard that twice now. What is the reason for this?

Here is my take on things. I will call it as I see it, hope that is alright with you. You have a total clusterf**k of audio in there. There is absolutely no need for as much as you have going in I hate to say. If you are hell bent on installing it, so be it but be prepared for numberous setbacks.

(1) supply of power - you have a tiny alternator

(2) ability to tune - way too many speakers cause cancellation, more does not = better.

(3) ability to house things properly, the subs will take over your trunk, then you need to get them to vent into the interior, good luck with that.

(4) for frequency reasons, a 10" and a 12" can and will play the same bass notes. If the subs are of the same type, the 12" all factors being equal will play the same bass note as the 10", but louder in the lower frequencies, upper they will be pretty much the same.

Go back to square one, eliminate some of the excess out of the system. Find a pair of 6.5" component speakers for up front and call it a day there. Go with two 12" subs in the rear and one amp to power them. Concentrate on a good box first and foremost and call it a day there as well. Eliminate the crossover and the EQ, upgrade to better speakers and a IMO a better cd player (cough Eclipse cough) and I highly doubt that a EQ will be necessary. Crossovers are already built into the amps and more than likely the cd player as well. No need for redundancy there.

Have fun with the door speakers! They are 6.75" and you'll have to drill mounting holes in the stock positioning brackets for them. I put a set of MB Quart RUA 216 components in my doors, mounted the tweeters in the side mirror pods, and powered them with a Kenwood KAC-7203. I replaced the dash speakers with 3.5" Infinity reference's, powered by my head unit. BTW I picked up 2 Blaupunkt 12" subs in a blaupunkt box for $39 today at Fry's! They marked them down because they are discontinued, just a heads up guys!
