Please help me out.

I am the owner of a shop in MI.

Everything is going well except my anchor manufacturer is not as popular as I thought.

I am direct with MTX, and have yet to sell 1 piece after almost 6 mo.

Every customer that comes in has had poor experiences with MTX in the past, but I cant impress on them enough that they purchased the items at BB or CC and they got LOW end product.... not the Thunder and Elite series that have Xtant technologies, and totally revamped subs.

So what im looking for is a semi-survey of brands you would like to see carried if you were a customer.

Im not looking for the money hungry overpriced brands like JL, Kicker, Rockford, Alpine, etc. Im thinking lesser known brands with quality product... like Crossfire, Clarion, Fusion, DD, Phoenix Gold, CV, and the like.

Im in a small town, so the money here is slim pickins.

Also, and dealers with experiences good and bad with particular companies and reps are encouraged to post.

Head Units, Amplifiers, and Subs are my primary concern. Thanks for your help!!

I'm happy with my crossfire amp and haven't heard many bad things so that's where my vote goes.

I'm not a dealer or in business or anything but I wonder how much kids that come in would want the brands like JL, Kicker, Rockford, Alpine and all those well-known "money hungry" brands.  I'm from a small town as well and my experience is many people don't know much about car audio and would seek these brands because that's all they know or have seen.  Just my 2 cents and something to think about.

I agree, which is why I have a "Foreign" section with Fusion, Audiopipe, and Volfenhag. Even the entry level Fusion Encounter subs impress me... and I've been in the Biz since the early 90's. I have items on display, but like you said... they want it because "they heard it was good"... but they wouldnt know "good" if it jumped out and smacked them in the head...and MTX isnt doing it for me. They want the product (RF,JL etc.), just not the high prices that go with it.

I have sold crossfire in the past (different shop in much larger city), and was pretty happy with the product, not so much with the reps though.

Thanks for your input.
