Make: Honda, Model: Accord, Year: 2005, Body: 4 dr LX sedan

I'm wanting to install an amplifier, but cannot locate a convenient spot to run the power wire thru the firewall. Any suggestions from those of you that have done this on Accords please advise. Also, I am curious to know where would be the ideal location to install my amp. I do have ample room under either my drivers or passenger seat to install it there. Once again any suggestions would be welcomed.

I am keeping the factory HU and have already installed a pair of MB Quart DKC169 6x9's in the rear deck and will install a pair of Infinity 6012i's in the front doors. I know that I need to buy/install a LOC, particularly a 4 channel LOC (Scosche FAI-3), but I am unclear as to where to place it within my installation. Thoughts, again, will be welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

manual or automatic? If it is auto, there is usually a place to drill through where they would have had the clutch cable go through.

Automatic...so, I've got to drill? Was hoping to avoid any of that. Will it be necessary to remove the center console and the radio as well?

One other thing that I failed to ask in my original post was at what specific point do I contact my remote wire to my ignition accessory? Is it located in the column or elsewhere? My '96 Accord was so much easier than my '05 is to plan and route wire.

Thanks again!

You don't have to drill anything on this car. There is a huge rubber grommet right above the brake pedal in that area. Put your power wire through there.

I don't mean to hijack the thread but I do want to piggyback on it.  I am going to install a 4 channel amp into my 04 6-speed coupe.  I need help with where to go in thru the firewall, the wire/color codes for the front and rear speaker so I can install my loc and what wire to tap into for my remote wire for the amp.  I am a obvious newbee so I appreciate the help.  I looked at the wiring diagrams for the Accord on this forum however today when I pulled out the factory HU and began to explore, it seems that the front and rear speakers are connected in two different pins.  Not to mention the two little tweeters have their own connections it seems.  I got the run around from the circuit city that I bought the amp from thats why I want to do it myself.  He complained that he didn't want to install an loc and that it would sound like crap and I would hear alot of engine noise.  I don't have $300 extra to drop on a cleansweep.  One last thing.  The Pioneer amp has speaker level inputs on the amp.  Is it better to use those than to run a  4 channel loc to the amp?  Thanks in advance for the help.

I started to run the wire this weekend and I found a better spot for the wire to go and it requires no drilling.  Follow the cable that pops the hood up.  It starts at the kick pannel and goes up behind/and above the fuse box out the side of the fender and up through into the engine bay.  Sorry it sounds complicated but it is easily found.  Try following the wire from  inside the engine bay to the inside of the car.  That is how I found it.  I pulled off part of the wheel well cover to get to it to see it a little better.   Once I located it I had the wire run in less than 5 minutes.
