What are you doing that requires the radio to be removed? Hopefully it works, I tried uploading a instruction sheet for the metra 99-7603 dash kit. Good Luck, and welcome to the volt!

EDIT: too big of a file to upload. go to www.metraonline.com and enter you vehicle info, scroll down to turbokits, and at the bottom right there will be a link to see instructions, which then you can DL the pdf file.latz

You need to remove almost the entire front end of the car.

Most importantly, there is one 10mm bolt BEHIND the analog clock.  The big trim piece that covers the analog clock and the climage control display pops right out, and you can remove the bolt easily.

You need to lower the drivers side under dash, which is one screw or so and then it pops off.  Then you can remove the side area that the 12vdc outlet is in.  I believe there are some screws behind that panel that hold the radio in.

Then, remove the glovebox (2 or 3 screws down low and 4 screws up top).  Give it a good tug and it will come out.  Then, remove the panel on that side that houses the 12vdc outlet and small storage pocket.

Next, remove the trim around the gear shifter, and I believe there are 2 more bolts under it that hold the radio in place.

When you get the entire thing out, there are like 5 plugs on the back.  Make sure you have something covering the gear shifter to prevent scratching the front of the radio while fighting to unplug the harnesses while supporting the weight of the thing.  If you have a 2nd (or 3rd even) person it makes it much easier.

Good luck!

Is up to the installer to test all wires with a DMM whenever possible.
