Hey guys

Im about to do an install on my little bros car. Im bpitting together a pretty basic system. to JL 4ohm 12's and an old school Orion Xtr pro 1000. My question is its been so long since I have installed one of these amps im not sure wich channels I should use to bridge the amp. If anyone has aby info on on of these old babys please let me know.

If you have an ohm meter, there will be 2 speaker terminals that are shorted together. It will be the positive of one channel and the negative of the other. When you find these 2 wires, the other wires will be the bridged wires. I.E if right - and left + show a dead short, the bridge wires will be right + and left -

I just looked at the layout of the plug that he posted in his original post and Yes it does look like a mono amp.

well, it looks like you can only go as low as 2ohm's on that amp.

And if you have dual 4ohms on your JL's then really, the only way you can safely hook it up is series-parrallel.

You didn't specify that your subs were DVC but the fact that you are asking how to wire your subs makes me assume that they are.

If your amp is in fact 1ohm stable and you have dual 4ohm coils than you can wire all four coils parrallel and get the most out of your brother's amp and speakers.
