I'm going to be getting two new Alpine Type R's. 12 inch. I was looking and i can't figure out the difference between the the 1242D and 1222D. Does anyone have any ideas on either because they both are right around the same price.

1242D has dual 4-ohm voice coils, 1222D has dual 2-ohm voice coils. Get the one that best matches up to your amp.
