I have an Alpine cda-9835 going into a 2001 z24 cavalier. I bought the after market harness and color matched the wires. The only ones i did not match were the internal amplifier cable and the dimmer cable. My head unit will not power on, Check the fuses, check the wires, nothing wrong there. I have installed quite a few head units and audio systems over the years but i cannot seem to find out what is wrong here. Any help is appreciated.

the 2001 cavalier does not have a switched power source in the radio. you must tap into the ignition or the fuse panel.

Thankyou. so just run the yellow wire from the head unit to an open spot in the fuse box?
