Previous owner of my boat installed an amplifier to power three pairs of speakers. All of the speaker wires are those cheap clear parallel wires.  The amplifier has no label on it so I'm not sure of the make. Question is,  I'm trying to sort out the speaker wiring so that I can install seperate volume controlls in different areas of the boat, ( its a 34 footer). Is there a standard color code that all manfacturers use for speaker outputs?  I have a large red and black wire that are the power in, then lots of different colors spliced to the speaker wires.

wow!

good luck on this one.

Have you tried toning it out with one of those fox and hounds? Also you can try searching Google with the model of your boat to see if there is such a wiring diagram.

The amp wasn't a factory install.   I was hoping that there was a standard color code for amp outputs...... It's in a diffulct area to get to, but I think today I'll demount it and look on the underside to see it theres any info on it.

I do have one of those tone/tracers, thats probably my next step.
