I just brought these today I scored them for a good price.

Head unit: Pioneer DEH-P5850MP
Speakers: Pioneer 6"x9" 300 watt TS-A6962E
& Pioneer 160 watt 6.5" 2-Way Speaker TS-G1641R

Now this fitted my price range and I saved a fair bit as I brought the speakers on sale and the head unit below the sale price, I was looking at the P4950MP and it was out of stock so he did the sale price of it on the P5850MP as they had 3 left and the new catalog had been sent out.
So I'm happy with what I brought for the $ it's better then what I thought I was going to be able to afford.

Well I should be happy going from a cassette and radio to what I brought today. What do you think of my purchase?

Where did you bring them?

What we think of you purchase should mean as much to you as what a deaf guy thinks...we are never gonna hear it. All that is important is that you got something that sounds good to you for a deal that you found to be good. Just do a search on pioneer rca's before you hook up an amp so you know how to get rid of the engine noise.

If you really want to know what I think, I like pioneer headunits dispite their over engineered rca cables, but I have never been a big fan of their speakers.

yes I know what you mean just all I was thinking buy asking was if anything was odd about the head unit etc. someone would post about it.

It sounded fine in store to me, I don't have an amp yet that's out of my budget for now, how much will it matter that I don't have one for now?
