I have a 2003 jetta,  just bought a Pioneer DEH-P49001B deck.  everything works great but the thing never turns off, been trying to figure it out for a few days, but am drawing a blank.  I know i am new but if any one can help that would be awesome

Press and hold the src button.
If that dose not work the problem is that you have a pioneer. This is going to wiz off a lot of people, but pioneer puts out more crap these days then ever before. I used to be a big believer in pioneer because of their parametric EQ’s and high voltage outputs but now days I spend more time replacing failed pioneer units than I do installing them. And the store that I work at sells them!

Any chance you have power going IN to the blue/white lead?

I'm gonna assume you installed it yourself. Try swapping around your red and yellow wires. On some VW harnesses, they can be turned around for different vehicles.

But the on/off switch would still work here. No?
