I don't have any experience with Powerbass, but we sell Planet Audio at our shop. They offer a killer warranty and their customer support is top notch. Plus their amps are solid with a lot of power. I think you would be very happy with the 2250.

The powerbass is solid equipment, the 1000.1 and the 2000.1 are both decent amps.

Planet Audio used to be one of the top rated amplifier lines in the world bar none. These days they have suffered a bit quality wise but they are still very good and I would not hesitate to use them. Powerbase makes decent subwoofer amps but I would not use them for anything else. ------------- Support the12volt.com

The nice thing about the Planet Audio amps is they provide a birth certificate so you know exactly what kind of power you're buying. On the other hand, the Powerbass subwoofer amps are pretty decent too! I've sold tons of them with no problems, and have the ASA1000.1D in my car now with 2 L series 12". Best bet is to take a listen to each amp and see which you like better! What are you powering with this?

That was the most insightful opinion I have ever seen posted. Seriously if you are gonna post something make it actually mean something. If you dont like either brand that say why, post experiences or test results or anything that backs up your opinion. the Planet Audio 2250 is a beast of an amp...puts out good power. I know a guy who ran four of these in his competition vehicle

The crap comment coming from a guy questioning how good a crunch amp is...Nothing but problems with crunch amps...never had an issue with planet audio or powerbass.

And where does this opinion stem from Mr. Bigbangs? I'm sure you'd rather have us all buy the indestructable always underrated Hifonics amps? (that was sarcasm Mr. Bigbangs) This coming from a guy that says you don't have to pay real money to get real power. I would take either the Powerbass amp or the Planet Audio amp over your Hifonics or your new Crunch amp anyday, but maybe that's just my humble opinion. ------------- 2003 Dodge Neon R/T

Positive or negative feedback is wonderful, as long as it stems from some sort of experience. In your other thread, if someone just out of the blue said about any amp you want to try out, "that's crap", with no rhyme or reason, you'd be upset I bet. Again, do you have any experience with the products that were mentioned, or was it just a bunch of...crap?

Hi, i'm new here and lurking around, but I couldn't help but respond to this thread. I have 2 Planet Audio amps. A P850-D and a VX1400D mono amp. They are both amazing amps. I have them both running at 1 ohm and they never get hot, even here in Lake Havasu where it's 120+ daily. I also ran the VX1400D at .5 ohm for 3 months with no problems on a pair of dual 2 ohm Cerwin Vega V-Max's. They come with birth sheets and are tested at 13.8 volts, not 14.4 like most amp manufacturer's. In my opinion, for the money Planet Audio makes the best amps available.
